November was
Alzheimer’s Awareness Month and the Sorors of Tau Omicron Zeta supported their
local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association of Augusta at their 2012 Walk to
End Alzheimer’s. The walk was held on
Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Augusta Commons.
TOZ Sorors
manned the table where walkers picked up colored pinwheels to carry during
their walk to identify their connection to the disease. Alzheimer's disease is the sixth-leading
cause of death in the United States and the only cause of death among the top
10 in the United States that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed.
