Epsilon Tau Zeta Celebrates Scholarship

On Saturday, May 5, 2018, the Epsilon Tau Zeta Chapter hosted the recipients of this years Academic Scholarship at a luncheon. The girls and their families were treated to lunch in celebration of them and they accomplishments throughout high school.

This year's recipients are Aryn Guy who is attending Valdosta State University, Kia Banks, attending Mercer University, and Ni'Quita Swayne, attending Kennesaw State University. We are very proud of these young ladies and cannot wait to see what they will go on to accomplish.

ETZ has given over $2,500 to help collegiate students in the Macon-Bibb County area.



Omicron Alpha Zeta Wins Chapter of the Year

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Omicron Alpha Zeta Chapter attended the Joint Leadership Conference in Columbus, GA in March. The conference was held at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center.  We had seven Sorors registered for the conference.  We participated in all for Z-HOPE Projects held at the conference. 

During the conference, Omicron Alpha Zeta Chapter won 2018 Chapter of the Year for chapter sizes 1-15.  We also won 1st Place Z-HOPE Award for chapter sizes 1-15, 1st Place Volunteer Hours, 1st Place Scrapbook, and 3rd Place Action Award. We were so excited to bring the awards home. 

We will continue to make a great impact in the Americus and Sumter County Area. Giving back to our community is what it's all about. 




Sigma Mu Zeta’s Light Continues to Shine


The Joint State Conference in Columbus, GA was “EPIC” for Sigma Mu Zeta! Our own Soror Sherry Pope was elected as the State Grammateus and Soror Serafina Williams was awarded State Undergraduate Advisor of the Year. Soror Daarina Adul-Mateen received special recognition as the first Dove inducted from Sigma Mu Zeta.

Each year we strive diligently to serve our community because each point equates to someone we’ve helped along the way. Our efforts for the third consecutive year have resulted in being awarded the State’s Z-HOPE award for our chapter size, recognition for our social action efforts and this year‘s 2nd place in volunteer hours. Our undergraduate chapter, Alpha Tau (Emory University) also received an award for volunteer hours. Doing the work of  Zeta is what we do best in Sigma Mu Zeta!



Sigma Omega Zeta Welcomes Spring 18

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Sigma Omega Zeta Chapter is proud to welcome its newest member.  In March, Soror Demetria Blalock was initiated and celebrated by the chapter.  Afterward, a reception was held in her honor where her Sorors lavished her with gifts and warm words of welcome.  Demetria is known to her Sorors as "Ace of Persistence" because of her undying commitment to become a finer woman of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.  Soror Blalock, we honor you and celebrate you in this accomplishment!





Sigma Omicron Zeta End Of Year Wrap Up

Sigma Omicron Zeta Chapter (Gwinnett County) is pleased to announce our Pearls of Excellence Scholarship Recipients for 2018.

The Arizona Cleaver Stemons scholarship was awarded to Miss Olubusola Banjoh. Miss Banjoh graduated from Brookwood High School in Gwinnett County and will be enrolling in Harvard University this fall. The Myrtle Tyler Faithful scholarship was awarded to Miss Caroline Wirl. Miss Wirl graduated from Mountain View High School in Gwinnett County and will attend Georgia State University in the fall. 

The Fannie Pettie Watts scholarship was awarded to Miss Ramona Deodath. Miss Deodath graduated from Central Gwinnett High School in Gwinnett County and will be attending the University of Georgia in the fall. Soror Dian Dames-Knight, Second Vice President of Sigma Omicron Zeta, presented the awards. All three young ladies exhibited excellence in scholarship and community service. We look forward to seeing the great things they will accomplish in the future. 

“Welcome Home Doves”
Sigma Omicron Zeta excitedly welcomed six Sorors home to Zeta this Sororal year. We are proud that these Sorors decided to reclaim their memberships and recommit themselves to doing the work of Zeta. Sorors who reactivated their memberships include the following: Soror Tonya Mompoint, Lambda Nu - Georgia State University; Soror Sharyl White, Chi Theta - University of Delaware; Soror ShaMona Avery and Soror JoQuita Etchinson, Sigma Omicron Zeta - Gwinnett Co.; Soror Ericka Frazier, Delta Beta - Fort Valley State University; and Soror Brandi Wilson, Pi Zeta Zeta - Moreno Valley, CA.
