event. The walk raised awareness and
support for lifesaving research and patient services to continue the fight
against leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of
patients and their families. Chi Pi Zeta
was be recognized at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s awards banquet on
December 5, 2012.
Chi
Pi Zeta Chapter fed over 20 foster children and 14 foster parents by partnering
with the Liberty County Department of Children and Family Services in
sponsoring a “Foster Parents Night Out.”
Sorors spent the evening playing with the children, while both the
foster parents and children enjoyed pizza, drinks and snacks provided by the
chapter. Additionally partnering with
the chapter in the event was the Hinesville Fire Department who provided a
workshop to the group on fire safety.
