Omicron Zeta is celebrating a decade of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood and Finer
Womanhood on April 12, 2014. Since
receiving its charter in 2004 TOZ has consistently met the initiatives and
goals set by our sorority’s leadership and is diligently working towards its chapter’s
goals. The chapter Basileus, Soror Terri
Key describes TOZ as a “young but seasoned chapter.” This is evident in the goals that were laid
out at the very beginning.
One of the
goals achieved is the organizing of an Amicae Auxiliary in 2013. The chapter has the distinction of providing
Etiquette Workshops for over 500 cadets a year at the National Guard Youth
Challenge Academy Fort Gordon Campus.
TOZ also has the honor of having a Georgia Hall of Fame Honoree in its
membership, Dr. Deborah W. Austin.
TOZ
has its first Life Member, Soror Deanna Andrews and Soror Shirley Howard is
currently serving as the Tamias-Grammateus for Georgia. This very talented group of educators, nurses,
dieticians, managers, trainers and counselors use their skills in service to
the community through varies Z-HOPE projects.
These ladies all firmly believe that when “Zeta calls, we answer one and
all.”
