Blue Trees by Soror Katie Mitchell

Basilieus Katie Mitchell of XI XI Zeta chapter participated in a "Paint Your Tree" community project in Thrasher Park in Norcross, GA. It inspires her poem:

BLUE TREES

Emerald and sapphire masks divulge the painted hue
By the painter's own hand creates the shade of royal blue
Leaves suppress the sunlight to create grey darkness of cool
Under which a soul transforms its appearance and interprets a new mood
Speckles of light no longer threaten but performs the pearl dance in time
Rest now my sister under the warmth of our Creator and sooth your mind
