"Sigma Mu Zeta knows how to have fun, but this month we raised money for a good cause while showing off our bowling skills. One of our national partnerships is with March of Dimes, which assist in educating mothers and families on how to prevent premature births as well as promote healthy choices when are presented with these complications.
Sigma Mu Zeta collaborated with Stars and Strikes of Stone Mountain, Georgia to benefit this cause by hosting a fun bowling social event where the proceeds benefited March of Dimes. As we bowled and chatted over good food and beverages, our door cost and bowling games monetarily contributed to our national cause. We also helped to contribute to ongoing research and facilities that help families in this situation. Members were responsible for promoting and selling tickets to friends and families. Those that bowled accomplished unique and high scores and were awarded special prizes and treats.
We reached a goal of approximately $1400 dollars. This is an annual event that we hope will get larger as we move forward."
