The Covington and
Conyers Amicettes sponsored their first fundraiser, a Mother and Daughter Tea
on May 16, 2015. Not only did these
young girls look lovely all donned in their hats and gloves, but the room was
filled to capacity, making the fundraiser a success. The Amicettes worked in pairs to identify a
theme and design the perfect table. Awards
were given for the best table design, winners are Amicettes Cheyenne Walton and
Taylor Piquion, and the
best mother daughter coordinated outfits, winners are Amicettes Taylor Piquion and Kyra
Caldwell.
Judging was very tough as each
young girl did an outstanding job. The Amicettes also participated with an
etiquette lesson geared to help them understand the workings of a formal table
setting. Congratulations to the Youth
Advisors, Soror Marilyn Barton and Soror Felicia Arnold and the Youth Mentor Soror
Vickie Mitchell, for their constant guidance and support of these young girls.
