The ladies of Zeta Phi Beta- Sigma Omega Zeta Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta East Point Chapter, Alpha Phi Alpha Pi Lambda Chapter, Clayton County Commissioner Sonna Singleton-Gregory and NAACP joined together to present the Teen Voter Education Forum.
The event began with a general session where local government officials and school Superintendent Morceaae Beasley discussed the importance of being an informed voter. The breakout sessions gave the teens an in depth look at the elections process from every level of government. The event concluded with a panel of peers taking and answering questions regarding the voting process and it’s importance.
The event was a success as students gained a clearer understanding of their civic duties and rights as citizens.
