Soror Vanessa Elkins-Rogers of Iota Eta Zeta
Chapter, Decatur, GA was recently nominated by the Atlanta chapter of
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. to receive the Pinnacle Award.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority selects citizens in the community who
have displayed outstanding public service and excel in their field of
work. Through the nominee’s efforts, they have worked to help initiate
change in the community to positively impact the citizens in the greater
Atlanta Area.
The award was presented to Soror Elkins-Rogers at Delta Sigma
Theta’s 19th Annual Pinnacle Leadership Award Luncheon, which took place
at the Renaissance Concourse Hotel. Soror Vanessa Elkins-Rogers had a
host of sorors in attendance to help her celebrate this success.
Soror Elkins-Rogers is currently
employed with CNN, Inc. She serves as an adjunct professor at Keller
Graduate School and she is a member of and supports various
organizations in the community including March of Dimes, Relay for Life,
American Cancer Society, and her church, Ben Hill United Methodist.
Soror Vanessa Elkins-Rogers further serves as a Charter School Board
Member, the State of Georgia Executive Board Chairperson, and a National
Trustee on the National Board. Congratulations Vanessa!!
